PHYSICAL EDUCATION

     Wellness is a way of life.  Without our health, we have nothing. It is my mission to help my students appreciate being healthy by giving them the knowledge and skills necessary to live a healthy lifestyle.   

 


     Physical Education is about learning how our body works, developing skills necessary to be successful at activities, and the knowledge to continue with activity throughout life.  In Physical Education, we learn much more than the physical aspect.  Students learn to appreciate others, the importance of effective communication, how to be a part of a team, and the knowlege of many fitness concepts that can be used later in life.  Not only do students learn things, they get to have a lot of fun at the same time! 

 
BIKE WITH ME: GET UP GET MOVING JLMS!

     This voluntary activity is a contest between each grade level grouped within thier P.E. classes.  It includes not only biking, but swimming, running or walking.  When students return thier permission slip they recieve their login information.  They are encouraged to get family members up and moving as well, and logging those miles to help thieir class. Information about the contest has been sent home via the Thurs. electronic folders.
